Benrus Series 2155 Watch WR with Black Dial. Very Good Condition, Mid-Sixties Winder with New Nato Strap. Very nice.

Pristine Black Dial Benrus 2155 - "Lord Abbey Z" This Benrus is a 2155, not a 3061, but the case, dial style, and movement are exactly consistent with the many other 3061s I've owned. The case is simply marked "Benrus" and has a WR (for Water Resistant). Anyway, it has all the same great features and style of a 3061. These watches were marketed as WR "water resistant" and open through the crystal rather than through the case back. They tend to remain very clean inside when compared to other 60 year old watches because of this tight seal. (They are probably no longer suitable for water exposure without professional servicing). CONDITION: This watch has an unknown service history It runs strong and reasonably accurately to within a few minutes per day. It will likely need a service at some point in the near future if intended for regular wear. But it currently winds well and runs strong for about 24 hours on a wind. Excellent lumed hands that still glow, dial is perfect. The case and crystal are in very good condition with only faint scratches here and there as you'd expect on a 1969/70 watch. See Photos.
