This delightful Vintage AH Ruse Ladies Novelty Cocktail Watch is a sparkling testament to mid-century elegance and charm. 17-jewel Swiss manual-wind movement, this watch runs pretty well considering its age. AH Ruse, while not as widely known as some major brands, produced charming, often bejeweled, cocktail watches, emphasizing aesthetic appeal for formal or festive occasions. This particular example truly embodies the "cocktail watch" style with its dazzling jewel effects, designed to catch the light and serve as a piece of functional jewelry. It comes fitted with a new old stock (NOS) suede leather band, ensuring comfortable wear while maintaining its vintage allure. Watch is in good condition, very clean, shows less than the expected wear from an 70 year old watch. Crystal is excellent. Chrome plated plastic caseback was an experiment that didn't last super well. See Photos.
