During the early 1970s, Benrus, an American watch company with strong Swiss manufacturing ties, was known for producing a diverse range of timepieces, from robust military-issued watches to more fashionable civilian models. The brand often incorporated contemporary design trends into its collections. This vintage Benrus automatic watch perfectly captures the distinctive style of the early 1970s. It features an eye-catching oval-shaped silvertone case, a hallmark of the era's adventurous watch design. The dial boasts a striking ombre effect, gracefully transitioning from one shade to another, which was a popular aesthetic choice during this period. Completing its functionality is a date display. Excellent condition -- Fully functioning Jeweled automatic movement. Works flawlessly and keeps time well. Day and date work as new. Currently sized at roughly 7" and can be easily increased to 7.25" with quick adjuster on clasp. Case measures 36mm wide by 43mm tall. Overall very good condition in terms of both appearance and function -- case has a little wear of the silvertone but lines are still crisp. Crystal is excellent. Service history is unknown.
