Own a piece of history (both personal and horological) with this vintage Gruen Veri-Thin Curvex Tank watch, dating from 1950. Renowned for their innovative curved movements that allowed for a slimmer profile on the wrist, Gruen's Veri-Thin Curvex models are highly sought after. This mechanical winder, in good vintage condition, features a classic sub-seconds dial and comes fitted with a new, vintage-style calf leather band. Adding to its unique story, the case back is charmingly inscribed: 'Don from Eileen 9-24-50'. Measures roughly 26mm wide by 30mm tall. A mechanical winder, in good working order -- keeps pretty accurate time and runs (when tested) for 24 hours on a single wind. A few very minor scratches here and there but in pretty good condition for a 75 year old watch. Dial has some patination/wear/spotting. SEE PHOTOS. Movement has not been serviced. It appears clean, winds and sets smoothly, and runs strongly. But as its history is unknown, a visit to a local watchmaker for a routine service may be needed in the future.
